In late August, Luke Agada logs onto Zoom from his studio in Chicago, with two new paintings of surreal domestic landscapes mounted on the wall behind him. It’s a moment of stillness, but momentum is already underway. Soon, the artist and his latest works will head to New York, where Agada is unveiling his first solo exhibition with Sean Kelly Gallery, on view through Oct. 31.
