When Salomón Huerta and artist wife Ana Morales-Huerta fled their Altadena home on January 7 last year, they thought they’d be going back. A few hours later, the whole neighborhood was consumed by fire. Among the things Morales-Huerta rescued were a few of her husband’s paintings, work now on view in Let Us Gather in a Flourishing Way at Buffalo AKG Art Museum. Featuring fifty-eight artists from the Latin American and Caribbean diaspora, everyone is bringing something.
