Yvette Mayorga has never shied away from blending beauty with commentary. Her distinct style—ornate, sugary, and unapologetically pink—is instantly recognizable. Yet beneath the frosting-like textures and pastel palettes lies a pointed critique of systems, histories, and expectations. With her newest exhibition, Pu$h Thru, Mayorga returns to her hometown of Chicago to mount a deeply personal and powerfully subversive solo show at Monique Meloche Gallery, on view from June 14 through July 26, 2025.
