You might think we scripted it, having the first-ever major museum retrospective of one of Newcity’s Breakout Artists coincide with the publication month of the 2025 Breakout Artists. But the Rashid Johnson (Breakout Artists Class of 2004) exhibition, “A Poem for Deep Thinkers,” at New York’s Guggenheim Museum is a happy coincidence.
