A glimpse into an intimate moment between two lovers intermingled embracing in the deep twilight, demonstrating the power of being together in their ascent. In their embrace, they begin to merge together with a shared vision in the same eye. The oval frame is suggestive of them looking through a porthole on a spaceship or a portal through which the viewer is getting a glimpse, a transitory space where the couple shares solace and a connection in being together underway in flight . This entanglement of the two figures with the woman’s arms stretched around the man suggests that she is the protector in this moment, standing firm with a monkey by her side, representing the trickster deity Eshu, a protector and messenger figure who possesses a kind of spiritual power.
